Mengya (Mon) Li
HELLO!
I’m Mon, based in London. I’m a multidisciplinary artist working across illustration, fine art, ceramics, print, and participatory workshops. I recently completed an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, and I come from a background in Fine Art and traditional Chinese painting.
My practice grows out of research and making, and I’m interested in queer ecology, mythology, the body, and different ways of understanding life and identity. I like working across materials and letting the process lead—whether that’s clay, printmaking, or drawing. Alongside studio work, I enjoy making art with others through workshops, shared learning, and collaborative projects.
I’m drawn to practices that are tactile, reflective, and open to conversation, and I’m always interested in working with galleries, studios, and projects that value material-led and socially engaged art.
If you have a project, exhibition, or collaboration in mind, I’d love to hear from you.
